They have made a few scant improvements on this facility. Don’t bother waiting for luggage at baggage claim belt/bay. Instead they have a large flatbed truck (Russian circa 1930’s) that they use to bring luggage around to the front of airport. Truck bed is roughly six feet high and one or two people take great care to gently hurl your luggage over your head after you point out which bags belong to you. They manage roughly 12-15 feet from truck as I’m sure they are scattering luggage to keep the crowd thinned out. :-) Anyway, if you travel to places such as this then you certainly should own luggage that can easily survive slipping from the roof of a bus going 79 km/h on a mountain pass, and tumbling 700 feet to the bottom of the ravine. Now for transportation from airport into town. Know you are in for a real treat. The taxi drivers, both men and women will storm those passengers they regard as “whales” to be pushed into their taxi over the competition. A lady won my transport overcharge after beating out another middle aged male driver. Not to be out done, the begrudged man angrily confronted the lady driver as we attempted to depart the taxi area. Still not satisfied, he began to physically a-cost my driver by chocking her and pinning her to the drivers door. She motioned to me that we would be delayed a few minutes, or I thought that’s what she was doing. As I sat in the passenger side of car I watched as they now began to roll on the car hood and then as the male driver got the upper hand, he began to punch her repeatedly in the face. I am assuming she tapped me into the “ taxi ring” to have a go and spell her or I thought she did. Anyway, I sprang from the car and came over the other side of the hood and restrained the flurry of fists and eventually pinned him to the ground. My lady driver promptly hopped back into her taxi and motioned for me to stop waisting time as I think she had her meter running the whole time. She, nor any other driver actually knew the address that I gave them, in English, for my lodging. After another 1:45 minutes and walking up and down the street asking strangers if they knew where my lodging was located a little girl happily explained to my spartan lady driver where to go and this end my joyous arrival to this less than 5...
