Bring enough sunblock and your shades, plus umbrella, as this is going to be a picturesque, but hot walk along the lavender fields and then inside the man-made museum.

I believe an hour or two will be sufficient to take all the pictures that you need and to appreciate the artwork.

With the multitude of nature and art in China, I do not think this is really worth the long drive to see. I probably give it a 3.5 stars out of 5.

Il DongFengYun Art Village a Mile è diventato uno dei luoghi più alla moda in Cina grazie alla valorizzazione della cultura del vino. Mile è una piccola città (piccola per gli standard cinesi, circa 500mila abitanti) situata nella prefettura autonoma Honghe Hani e Yi nella provincia dello Yunnan. Oggi Mile sta diventando sempre più popolare per la produzione di vino che fu introdotto dai francesi quando costruirono la linea ferroviaria che collega Kunming al Vietnam. Il DongFengYun Art Village è stato progettato dall'artista locale Luo Xu ed è ispirato proprio alla “cultura del vino rosso di Mile". Nel villaggio sono presenti un museo, una sala polivalente, un ristorante e un hotel, ai quali presto si aggiungeranno altri edifici man mano che il nuovo villaggio dell'arte crescerà.
