You see mainly animals that live in the wild, it almost brings tears to your eyes, with the space provided to these animals here (and only so that the visitor can see the animals better). Concentration camp for animals!!! The fact that one cannot expect too much in terms of species-appropriate animal husbandry in China should be well known. But since the zoo has advertised to be the only one in the world that specializes in polar animals, I still wanted to give it a chance and was horrified. In a windowless bunker without any sunlight, polar bears, seals, wolves and even beluga whales eke out their sad existence in far too small cages (2 polar bears on about 25m², the large belugas in a tiny pool of maybe 20m in length, in which they could only swim loops) on a concrete floor without any structures or hiding places, brightly lit by artificial light. Read moreOk so the good parts of the park: The Orca show was by far the best part. The park was clean and overall from what I could see it was well looked after. The Children really enjoyed all of the sea animals. My son loved the Ultraman show.
The Bad parts of the park: The location is quite far out if you are not staying at the park and going for a day outing. The time we went it was extremely hot. Food in the park is expensive and not best quality (Burger King). Not to many options for food. Only one Coffee shop from what I could see. Too many people for all of the attractions and restaurants.

Read moreThis is by far my worst amusement park experience even if you exclude the likely animal abuse of orcas and dolphins. I went during dragon boat festival so it was insanely crowded. The cable cars cost money to wait for an hour. The Rollercoaster was closed. The ultraman restaurant was forcing people to buy food to use their patio. The firework display at 7 25 was nice, but then they block off most of the park for a parade that makes it impossible to leave....
