This is an island off the coast Chaoshan Area of Guangdong Province of China It is a popular tourist destination for the locals and foreigners. Besides tourism, the oysters culture industry is large too. Reasonable hotels and accomodation are available within the island. Seafood is popular in this island. The Seaweed Fried Rice is unique to this island. A *must try" dish for tourists. Facilities within the island are good and well maintained. Numerous food and souvenir shops are available. Prices are reasonable.

I didn’t get a lot of pictures here but hear the rundown. It’s basically an island with good views of the water but of course with the Chinese smog it’s not as pretty. One thing that makes this place different is the colored cups that are used to capture oysters. It’s also about 90 rmb to cross the bridge onto the island and getting a taxi to get out can be difficult

Nan’ao island is beautiful and isn’t as busy as Shantou. The roads on this island are curvy and have a single lane so drive with caution. There are lots of small shops that sell dried seafood.

An outlying Island with few local villagers, was rural before, since the 11km sea bridge was built it is now a popular spot of tourism and vacation, a lot of new residence...
