Capri by Fraser Shenzhen — Local services in Shenzhen

We stayed here for 6 days. We booked the 2 bedroom sea view suite, which is actually 2 separate rooms at the end of the corridor which you use another door to shut together. Plenty of space for a family, but the sofa is not a sofa bed as we’d imagined.||The first suite we were given after was not acceptable: dirty, ring marks from mugs on tables, smelt strongly of smoke even though it was a non smoking room, had coffee stains on the wall where someone seems to have thrown a cup of coffee, bathroom tap was very unstable, bedroom light was broken and one toilet wouldn’t stop running when flushed! Even though we checked in very late at night, we went straight back down to reception to complain, and were immediately given another room which was significantly better (the same rooms but 2 floors higher)||Breakfast was good with a huge choice of food, but very busy, and on a couple of days we had to queue for some time to get a table.||The infinity pool on floor 45 is beautiful and has stunning views. Nice terrace to relax on too, and fresh towels are provided. ||The accommodation and location of Capri is good, and in the end we had a great stay, but it could be better and would benefit from better maintenance (paint peeling off in balcony areas in all the rooms we saw) and deeper cleaning. if you don't insist to stay in city center in Shenzhen I do recommend this hotel, very clean, big rooms, great breakfast, rooftop swimming pool, and what ever mentioned in their adds, even better. If you can have rooms with sea view it will be great but dont worry the rooms on the other side have mountain view, in this case ask them for the rooms in upper floor. Nearby there is shopping mall with very mice foodcourt.and plenty of restaurants in the street close to the mall. Wehave very difficult situation after check out, unfortunately, our travel agency had made a mistake to put a wrong airport to our international flight. We drove for one hour and as we arrived we found out that it is not the airport we are going to fly from. Another taxi and back to the right one. We spend more than 100 $.we were lucky and we arrived on time to right airport. Latter we made a report and it was not impossible to persuade a travel agency unless the reception in the hotel confirmed that the taxi by hotel approves that we lost time and money to find a right airport.they send and email and we could get money back from travel agency. The view and facilities especially the rooftop infinity pool and gym room are definitely the best of the hotel. Room is spacious with dressing room, living room, bathroom and bedroom located separately. Air conditioning is good. Bed are comfortable for me, not too soft or too hard. All amenities I need are well equipped. However, not sure if it is an individual case, the room is not clean while I checked in. The trash in the bathroom bin has not been taken away and there are dust and little gravel on the working desk. I have to call the guest service team to deal with it, luckily their response is prompt.||Breakfast is acceptable for me, they have options of Chinese and Western items. But if you are staying here during weekends, try to have an early breakfast since there is crowd of people going for breakfast after 8:30 am.||Generally it is a fine experience for my family.
