Yesterday on February 14 2017, I had the biggest disappointment in all of my time golfing. I was very much looking forward to playing a course that claims it is the best in Latin America (far from true), as well as at a tpc establishment which I’ve played at in North America. So we went ahead and booked a very expensive tee time, rented clubs shoes and a cart, which equvalated to the highest price I’ve ever payed for a round of golf. All to find out the following: a number of greens were badly damaged with new grass sticking up above level, making an uneven playing surface. Oil stains all on the greens. Maintence workers driving loud machinery around the course until after 3pm! Not to mention half of this army ignored us and continued to weed whack use blowers and grass mowers all around us as we tried to play. And the ones who were sitting around constantly tried to sell us more golf balls. Divot marks every where that no ones seemed to care to fix. And in 5 hours we saw the beverage cart once... in 30 degree weather water is nesecarry.. I have never seen such a poorly run course tpc should be ashamed to have their name on this course. Unfortunately course maintanince was not the only major downfall, after taking our grievances up with the course director his response was to accomadate us for another round of golf on the club. Knowing we already had to rent all of this equipment. Once contacted Juan told us that only the green fee would be covered everything else is on the customer. So really just shaking us down for more money. Sickening. Whatever you do, do not waste your time or money at karibana! Club Lagos de caujaral in Barranquilla...

The golf course is always well kept and maintained with a good layout and in a good location.

We played the course on May 19th at 10am. Nobody was on the golf course except two of us playing. Few holes were being aerated so few maintenance crew, somehow on back 9 in matter of 7 holes being played by us Two cellphones got stolen. Not a good experience. Apparently they have so called security watch guards sprinkled all over the course and hardly no one playing the course this time of the year due to regularly raining and annual aerification. Talked to the manager and he said it has never happened here before. Yet 2 phones disappears from the golf cart. Few hours later both phones were deactivated from cell signal by removing the chip. For a golf course to reach one has to go through Two security gates and has security on bikes and look out post on the course to have such thing happened left a little bitter taste mouth. So next you play there be extra careful and secure...

If you want to golf at tpc karibana make sure you bring lots of lube, and don’t bother wearing a belt! I’ve never been so violated in my entire life... how does a this course possibly have a 4.5 rating? Obviously the people playing here have never seen what a golf course should like! Or maybe they drank too many over priced beers, can’t be too sure. Tpc should immediately cut ties. Course maintenance is atrocious, and management is equally disgusting. If you like throwing your money in the garbage please come golf at tpc karibana. Also if you run into a fellow name Juan run, he is a pirate for over paying golfers money. After my terrible experience the greedy manager tried to trick me into coming back for a free round where nothing was free. After spending an agregious amount of money Juan told us we had a free round of golf, he just wanted to dig into my pockets a bit deeper.
