About two weeks ago, me and two friends visited Finca Los Angeles. The contact was made and the reply was very quick. After all the conversation, we scheduled the day and time, and they sent a taxi to get us on the day. The trip to Finca Los Angeles took about 20 minutes from Jardin, and the views were all incredible. As we get there, we are greeted by Pablo, who started showing us to some coffee beans and asking us some questions about coffee so that he could explain some things related to the smell and taste of coffee and the way we drink it, preparing some coffee for us, after we chose the type we would like. Angelita, the mother, then comes in, sits with us and has a little wonderful conversation with us all. And then Andres, the father, takes place in explaining so many things we never knew about coffee and it’s growing. It was all very light and interesting and fluid between all of them. After we drink out coffee, Andres takes on a little visit to the farm, showing us how and were coffee grows, letting some of us to pick up some coffee grains, and lettings know that they also grow avocados, mandarines, and so many other things. He also takes us to see machines that filter coffee grains and then to see the coffee drying in the sun. The smell through all of this process is amazing, but more once we get to see some coffee beans being toasted… DELICIOUS! We end up back where we started, with some more coffee and some homegrown avocados and the typical patacones! The experience is a good 10 out 10, absolutely worth it and 100% recomend to anyone who’s...

My boyfriend and I have been traveling for 3 months and this has been our favourite experience so far. We have taken coffee tours in Costa Rica and Guatemala but they don't compare to this one in the slightest bit! Andres and Angela are one of the most authentic people we have ever met! They are a small family that owns the coffee plantation for 4 generations and the farmer himself is touring you around. Andres really took his time to explain everything to us, from bean to cup and Angela prepared a fantastic meal for us. If you have the opportunity, definitely book the tour with lunch and book directly with them. If you book through an agency the farmer only gets a small percentage. The views are unreal and you will see all kinds of colourful birds! They don't speak English but if you don't speak Spanish and don't want to pay for a translator, they speak slow for you and give you enough time to ask them questions. You can always use google translate. I don't want to spoil anything about the tour itself - just do it! You will NOT be disappointed! (Plus the coffee is super tasty!!!!)

Andés y Angela, muchas gracias por brindamos la experiencia de toda una vida! Dafni y Alexis (de...

We had the honor and privilege of visiting the farm and sitting with Don Andres to learn about coffee and coffee farm life. Every once in a while you will cross paths with people that, are not only infinitely wise, but also infinitely generous and willing to impart their wisdom on you.

Our group (my family) consists of two adults and three children. The farm arranged for transportation from Jardín in one of the many awesome Jeeps you will see during your stay. The ride was an absolute blast. A little rough at times but to be expected.

Upon arrival you will be greeted and welcomed into someone’s home and little slice of heaven (truly an honor). Don Andres was our guide for the day. I thought I knew a lot about coffee but I was wrong. In the brief time we were there we learned enough to write a master’s thesis. Although my kids don’t speak Spanish, Don Andres was patient and made sure my wife and I translated for our kids (they do offer tours in English).

We all enjoyed some amazing coffee and patacones (fried plantains) during our visit. We had the most incredible time and would go back in a heartbeat to visit Don Andres...
