We had a wonderful experience taking this tour of Comuna 13. Our guide Yeso was a local wh grew up in the Comuna and had great knowledge of the history of the neighbourhood. He helped us understand the nuances of a complex place like Comuna 13 in a way we would have not been able to do otherwise. I highly recommend visiting with a guide, as that gives you access to a much deeper understanding of the positive transformation that the community managed to achieve here. The Comuna itsef is a truly fascinating place, full of life and colour.
