Beautiful place. They have an opportunity to be so great, and they are doing it all wrong. So many problems...This hostel is on an incredibly beautiful site, among the best in the area. It is also the only hostel outside the city that seems to offer wifi. ||||When we arrived people were happy, and the hostel was full... but it quickly took a turn for the worse. The employee in charge was very helpful and friendly (even if he lost our reservation and we had to sleep in a borrowed tent for two nights), until his girlfriend showed up. She accused one girl of trying to sleep with her boyfriend, cut off laundry facilities to guests (available before she came), washed our dishes while we were still cooking with them (and drinking from them), and made everyone uncomfortable. ||||The place was constantly very very dirty and smelled like mold (not healthy). We were happier sleeping in the tent and peeing outside.||||Then on our last night, we returned after a hike to find the hostel closed. Nobody there, the gas gone, the lights out. Nobody. We still had a key to our room so we went to bed. It was a very strange experience that left us...

Read moreEstuvimos muy bién in el Hostal el Portal Fin del Mundo. Llegamos en carro alquilado sin reserva. Nos ofrecieron una de las habitaciones que són básicas pero limipias y suficientemente anchas. El Hostal tiene una zona comedor y otra zona para descanso y lectura. La cena fue excelente. El Sr Eduardo tiene una mano increíble para la cocina dando puntos de calidad no esperada en sitios tan remotos. Los dueños del lugar nos contaron muchas cosas interesantes de la zona que no conocíamos y consejos para continuar nuestro viaje. Nos hubiera gustado pasar unos días más descubriendo la zona.
