Amazing view from the summit , you see most of the Aitutaki lagoon on the east side (probably worth the sunrise hike) and some of it on the west side. I did it in the afternoon, at a leisurely pace and it took us 20 min to the false summit (the gentle slope on light gravel road near the top at your left) and another 5min to the real summit (the crazy steep climb on blackish gravel road near the top at your right). Just be careful coming down because you might slip and slide on the steep slope. Bring water, you’re gonna sweat heaps but it’s...

We stayed at Paradise Cove just across the road leading up to the summit so we came up a couple times. It has multiple vantage points to admire the views of Aitutaki. You can also see birds circling around from time to time. It's quite special to see the white tailed tropicbirds up close! Must visit if you're...

Fantastic views of the whole island. You can drive half way up then walk the rest. It is very steep so good shoes is a good idea. Be careful on the way down. The rocks do slide a bit and it can be easy to slip. It is worth the trip up.
