I first went to Rarotonga in 2009, staying then at a backpackers and having the serendipitously good fortune of meeting my future wife. Since then, we’ve visited virtually every year, staying across the entire gamut of accommodation options “Raro” has to offer.
I give this background, because as a New Zealander, “Raro” has several convenient attributes which make for a true holiday IMO (as opposed to more exotic destinations which I visit for the adventure and curiosity). As such, it’s become like a second home, just warmer, and less frenetic.
