I gave it a 4 stars cuz the road is very slippery with mud, and there are hardly stuffs (tree branches etc) on the way to grab onto. I slipped several times ouch. It's a hike on hill with little bit of rock climbing. The view is nice. Better come here during a good day cuz the mud. It's very short around 3 hrs round trip. Check out my youtube channel under my name for travel videos during my 5 months covid lock down stay in Cook Islands!

Nice bush walk and a steady climb up to the rock section. Broad summit with limited views above the rock face but worth the extra 5 minutes to see the Needle and Te Manga. A fit and energetic adult should be easily able to negotiate the fixed ropes but, IMO, taking a 2 yo up is foolhardy.

Nice views as you move up the mountain. Definitely need shoes with decent grip, more so if it's been raining. The rope section at the end is also tough after rain. We did it with a 12 yo and 2 yo but 2yo needed a little help at times.
