At this time we begin a new week in a brand new year and I want to pay special tribute to and for this most special establishment.This review comes at a time where Google has informed me that my combined text and photos now surpass 100000 views in just about 1 year's time.They often inform me of my popularity based on honest and concise reviews of business,travel and restaurants which now include this top shelf dinning experience.I have let the owner know during my lengthy mid-afternoon lunch that I have dinned in the most prestigious steak houses in NYC,USA..two of which have a combined total years in business of nearly 300 years.I am very pleased to report that this has been "one of two of the best dinning experiences I have had since moving to Costa Rica full-time for exactly one year as well. The service was most friendly and attentive.Never was there a time I lacked for anything.And,the onsite wine selection either chilled or ready for purchase to take home was extensive.I chose two bottles to take home while settling in to a wonderful steak dinner with a friend.The dinning atmosphere was perfect,very orderly with a well stocked bar,and spacious.I chose to eat tableside at the entry and felt fully connected to other guests dinning in the more interior space.My appetizers where delicious,hot,and accompanied by homemade sauces.My friend and myself shared and there was more than enough to satisfy both of us in ordering three.Our dinners were cooked to perfection and the intermittent visits to our table by the owner and his wife was well appreciated and timely.It is in a good location with ample upscale parking and facilities were impeccably cared for.As I resided there for quite some time I noticed in particular another friendly dinner next to us as well as one very large party was enjoying a very similar experience.I am returning shortly with the recommendation by the owner to."try the ribs next time"..which I am most anxious to do.I will say in closing that I eat meat infrequently so it is very important to me that when I do it is prepared as well and tastes a good as mine.....thankyou so...

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the ratings, but unfortunately my experience did not live up to my expectations. The atmosphere was emotional, as the restaurant has a memorial to the owner, which adds a very personal tone to the space-though I feel this information may not need to be shared so directly with guests.

As for the food, the meat was quite tough and dry and the mushrooms served were not fresh which made each dish difficult to enjoy. Overall the quality of the meal did not reflect the reputation or price point. I truly hope they can refocus on the kitchen standards, as the place seems to have a lot of heart...

Of you are looking for good stake come to this place, the price is high but for the quality is one of the cheap ones here.
