My experience with Spirit of the Horse was pure magic. Vici is an incredible guide: calm, grounded, and deeply connected to her horses. You can feel how much love and care she puts into their wellbeing, and it shows: the horses are some of the calmest and most responsive I’ve ever met. Riding through jungle trails and out onto the wild Caribbean beach was a dream come true. Vici matched each of us perfectly with a horse, and even beginners (like my mother and her friend) felt safe and confident the whole time. I went horseback riding in Costa Rica with my two daughters (14 and 11), and it was unreal. We rode along these gorgeous, wild beaches, through the jungle, up into the hills with ocean views, and even through little towns—it felt like a movie.

Our guide was amazing—so kind, fun, and deeply connected to the land and the horses. They made us feel totally safe but also gave us space to really take it all in. The girls were glowing the whole time.

What an amazing adventure. If you are visiting the Caribbean Coast this is a must see. Imagine horseback riding through the shallow surf on an empty beach passing sloths and howler monkeys. Vici takes unbelievable care of her rescue horses and loves her animals deeply. The horses were calm and easy to ride for me and my kids. Taking a quick hike to Punta Uva was a great idea and my sons favorite part of the adventure. Great picture opportunities the whole time.
