Ferrata Čikola is a mix of hiking trail and parts of ferrata. The start or the end (depends which side you start from) of ferrata is the tricky part. You can return the same way you hiked. It takes 2h to hike from start to end. The best time to visit is the early spring, when the water is runing. In the summer days it dries out and it’s hot as hell in the canyon.

Amazing via ferrata in the Čikola Canyon! A lot of it is hiking and then every now and then some ferrata. But you go all the way down the canyon and the views are amazing! Loved it. 100% recommend. It's a really via ferrata. We loved it because of the view of the canyon.

Amazing via ferrata in the Čikola Canyon! A lot of it is hiking and then every now and then some ferrata. But you go all the way down the canyon and the views are amazing! Loved it. 100% recommend. It's a really via ferrata. We loved it because of the view of the canyon.

Dok smo, kao djeca, igrali "Država-grad-rijeka", nismo ni znali za nju, a malo je rijeka koje počinju na slovo "Č".

Danas nema u Lijepoj Našoj tko nije čuo za nju. Opjevana na pravi način u pravo vrijeme, kad smo, u svojim zamračenim stanovima u zamračenim gradovima i selima, tijekom Domovinskoj rata, treperavih srdašca prepunih emocija, slušali o herojima s izvora rijeke Čikole, koji, dok im živo srce bije, neće dat okupatorima da uđu u njihovo mjesto neobična imena: Čavoglave.

Ne bi vjerovali, no ima učiteljica u zagrebačkim školama koje ne dozvoljavaju da se ta pjesma pušta na školskim izletima!
