We visited Badija Island during our stay in Korčula and while it wasn’t a bad experience, I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

To get there, you’ll take a water taxi from the pier next to the main ferry stop — it’s €10 round trip, cash only, and about a 20-minute ride. The process is easy and scenic, but keep in mind there’s not a lot happening once you arrive.

The island is mostly enjoyed by locals sunbathing along the rocky coast, which is nice if you’re looking to relax and swim. But beyond that, there’s not much sightseeing. There’s a small monastery (€7 entry), a single restaurant, and a tiny shop with drinks, ice cream, and other basics.

We had hoped to see the island’s famous deer, but in August, likely due to the heat, we only came across one.

Overall, it’s a peaceful spot for sun and sea, but if you’re looking for adventure, history, or wildlife, you might be...

This place is like heaven on earth. Although there are many people, it doesn’t feel crowded, there’s enough space for everyone. We arrived on our sup, which was an amazing experience too. If you enjoy an active holiday, I recommend to park your car near the 'Last Chance' cafe. There’s a nice, clean spot where you can set up a sup or kayak and start your adventure. Your first stop can be Otok Vrnik, which is very close, then the small island of Kanjemnjak, then Otocic Planjak Island. Finally, you'll come across the beautiful Badija Island with its monastery. The beach stretches along the entire island, making it easy to park your sup and relax. Be sure to take a walk - there's no way you'll...

More hype than it's worth. My fiancée and I arrived here with intent on feeding the deer which seems to be the main attraction of the island. Deer were fun and prefer carrots to anything else, but the beaches aren't the best. We went on one beach on the other side of island and we enjoyed there, but there's not much to do on Badija after you feed the deer and have a swim. If you're looking to come here, make sure it's a part of a larger island tour or...

Divan otok, jeleni vam prilaze, ponesite mrkvu, kruške za nahraniti ih... Divan samostan, prošećite cjelim otokom jer ima tako divnih uvala..
