Beach MUP — Local services in Općina Fažana

MUP Beach in Valbandon (near Fažana, Istria) is one of those places that hits all the right notes when you just want a good beach day. Here’s what I liked, and what to keep in mind:

👍 What’s Great

Natural Beauty & Clean Water The sea is always clear and inviting, and the beach is surrounded by a lovely pine forest. Trees offer nice natural shade, which is a big plus on hot days.

Facilities & Accessibility MUP Beach is well-equipped: there are beach bars, places to eat nearby, showers, and it’s accessible for people with disabilities.

Free Parking Having a free parking option is a bonus, especially in high season when many beaches charge or parking is far away.

Good for Families & Activities It’s ideal with kids — shallow water in parts, spaces to relax, plus options for entertainment. You can also walk along the promenade, enjoy the views, etc.

👀 Things to Know / Minor Downsides

Can Get Crowded Because it’s nice, popular, and accessible, MUP Beach fills up, especially midday in summer. If you go early or a bit later, you’ll have more space.

Surface Mix Part of the beach is gravel, part concrete; so if you’re expecting all sand, that’s not totally the case. Depending on what you like, this may feel less “soft underfoot.”
