While nature is undoubtedly the highlight, the overall experience is undermined by a lack of environmental stewardship and overwhelming crowds. The Park appears to prioritize tourism revenue over preservation. Although cycling is promoted and rentals are readily available, there are no dedicated cycling paths. Cyclists are forced to share the same narrow, dusty roads with cars and pedestrians, creating a chaotic and unsafe environment. Vehicles are allowed to drive all the way to the cliffs, stirring up dust and adding noise and pollution to what should be a wild natural setting. Beaches are overcrowded and loud, far from the atmosphere one might expect in a safeguarded National Park. The result is a place that feels less like a protected natural area and more like a chaotic amusement park—an Instagram backdrop rather than a space for mindful, eco-conscious exploration. Kamenjak could be so much more if efforts were made to promote sustainable tourism: car restrictions, proper cycling infrastructure, limits on visitor numbers, and a focus on environmental education would go a long way. Visit this place if you enjoy : Dust. It feels like operation Sand storm just driving to whatever location you need to get to. If you enjoy your car and everything you own covered in fine layer of white dust. Mad max. If you want to feel like you are in a distopian future, where dust has taken over the world and crazy balkan marauders are driving VW golfs at the limit of what is physically possible. If you like crowded beaches, filled with people blasting music from their Bluetooth speakers and being generally drunk ans disordered. If you feel like Nature is overrated in general and you just want to seek and destroy. if you think that driving an ATW is the ultimate goal in life and you need to pretend that you are sponsored by Redbull, so you push it to the maximum speed possible, regardless of what's happening around you.

If you are a normal person that enjoys nature ans the sea, just skip this place. There are soooo many better places. Hint : make sure thar cars are or allowed in. You will find many such places. Skip this one. Paying 15 € just to get in ia just the start the price you pay later is...

Mass tourism and overhyped corner of the Istria. Unfortunately they have decided to cover with white dusty gravel stones all roads - which in high season means that everyone and everything - the park itself too is covered in white dust. We did take the car to explore; but I saw people attempt it with bikes or walking - it looked terrible either way 😅 it has a couple of nice beaches, but due to the lack of infrastructure in most, and that the parks allows an infinite number of visitors, people leave a lot of trash. There’s no toilets with a few exceptions of mobile ones; so everyone either goes to the bushes around with wet wipes (yikes!) or I suppose pees in the water. Etc. I really would recommend the area to be restricted from mass tourism; limit number of people entering, change roads and add infrastructure - toilets and bins. Because allowing this amount of people to use a natural park as their public beach will eventually destroy its beauty. Elevate entrance fees and limit visitors; fix the roads, and nature will thank you. And us,...
