The Surf PIT — Local services in Općina Sveti Filip i Jakov

Me and my son Paul (11) did a windsurfing course at this place in our summer holiday this year.

We were introduced into theory of surfing (not too much), practical training on land and then went onto the water. The teachers we had (Tomislav, Sara, Tonka) managed to let us feel that we could do it (it's all in your brain, Tonka), and we did. This is the Surf PIT's merit.

Those hours were quite an intense experience, and now, surfing is something I want to do in each of our holidays, if possible, and also at home. We should have done this earlier.

On our last day in Croatia, actually heading to the airport, we stopped for one last swim in the sea. Well, the beach we chose had a windsurf shop. We were so excited! We had two hours to enjoy. The team got us set up on a board and my husband and I took turns surfing across the water. We are in our late 50's so we need to take breaks, lol. It was a great way to end our vacation in Croatia. The Surf Pit was a great place to learn windsurfing in a quick course, our trainer Tonka was very professional and super friendly. The course starts with learning the techniques, then applying the learned techniques on the surf board in water and then windsurfing with the trainer.
