Viševica is a prominent mountain peak in the western ridge of Velika kapela mountain range. It is special for several reasons: with an altitude of 1428 m.a.s.l. it is the second highest peak in the range, just after Bjelolasica; it is rarely visited thanks to it's position, only few (steep) approach trails and conical peak; it is almost equally distant from other landmarks - Učka, Risnjak, Bjelolasica and Northern Velebit; it is just 12 kilometers to the coast in direct line. Thanks to the mentioned above Viševica overlooks Kvarner islands and Rijeka bathed in sunshine, and at the same time the peristent snow of Gorski kotar mountains with roads and plains between them...
