Honestly, we cannot recommend the Episkopi Environmental Information Centre enough! 🤩 The work they're doing is incredibly important for preserving the unique habitat that’s home to the island’s flora and fauna, for which some are endemic, only found here in Cyprus. The centre is a true gem, and the staff, especially Mary Beth, is amazing. She was so helpful, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the tour beyond exceptional. You can tell how hard she works and how much she truly cares about the environment, and the ecosystem as a whole. You’re a true inspiration to all your visitors, so please keep up the amazing work you do day-in, day-out!
The small fee of €5 per adult is such a fair price, especially considering it helps the centre stay open, while continuing to support the local Ezousa ecosystem. It's clear that the centre is focused on both education and conservation, to highlight, promote and protect the ecological and cultural characteristics of the Ezousa Valley. In addition, to contribute to the sustainable development of the area. All these aspects are so important for the island's future and preservation of its unique ecosystem.
A huge THANK YOU to Mary Beth for everything you do – we are forever grateful for the experience and the knowledge shared. We can only highly recommend visiting the centre, especially if you're in the area, or you don’t mind the short 15-min drive from the city of Paphos! 🌿 May God continue to bless...
Read moreMe, my wife and our little child have visited the environmental centre yesterday, on the 25.05.2022. In only two hours and almost for free, we have learned more about the flora and fauna on cyprus than in the privious five times we have been to cyprus. And this means something.
In the first 20 minutes we have got t to see a professional and very well done documentation about cyprus's nature. After that we were guided through a modern geology and wildlife excibition with a lot of interesting facts and real size animal exhibits. Everything is very new, clean and made with love, better than in a traditional museum. Finally we had a tour around the botanical garden with a very passionate guide, Marybeth.
All together an amazing and priceworth experience that we recommend...
Read moreWe had the opportunity to visit the center as a youth group of the Municipal Youth Council of Karavas Municipality. The Environmental Information Center of the Episkopi - Paphos stands out for the living museum it has inside, the audio-visual material that has been created specifically for the Ezousa Valley, but also for the wonderful outdoor space that is an authentic representation of the Valley.
The place is a unique experience of education and getting to know the natural wealth of the area, whether you are a local or a tourist. The visit is worth doing at any time of the year, since different "exhibits" can be found in each season.
Congratulations to Mrs. Mary who passionately imparts her knowledge to...
