Limassol's New Port is now the principal seaport of the island. This was largely a direct result of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 leaving the Port of Famagusta within occupied territory and inaccessible to Greek Cypriots. Cyprus is an established player in the shipping industry. The city of Limassol is a centre for numerous global shipping companies. Most of the island’s cargo (importation and exportation) is also handled in this port. In the year 2000, 3,589,000 tonnes of cargo were handled whilst there were roughly 1 million passenger arrival and departures (>90% of total traffic). Over 50 international cruise liners include Cyprus in their Mediterranean Sea routes resulting in much of the passenger traffic.

נמל שמרוחק ממרכז העיר, ביצירה מהספינה מגיעים לטרמינל קטן ומהיר וממנו בתהליך קצר מגיעים לרחבה שבה ממתינים נהגי מוניות ויש גם קו אוטובוס למרכז . אנחנו לקחנו הסעה של חברת הספנות רואיל קריביאן שהתברר בדיעבד דהיה יקר. החזרה לשייט מהירה , יש טרמינל קטן למי שפספס, המחירים דומים למחירים בעיר.

One of the best port in Europe. Can accomodate several types of ships such a container vessels, passenger vessels, special purpose vessels and more. Now the port divided by 3 terminal units. Eurogate for Container business and DP world for the rest. Additionaly P&O company assigned for the pilotage into the port and not all. Excelent services in all aspects. The port is open for 24hrs 7 days. Since 2017 till now the business in the port grown up with an excellent services...

Amazing cluster of restaurants, wonderful place to have a walk. You can visit the historical castle that is nearby that the old karup factory ( traditional artisanal food sweets). Very nice piazzas all around shopping and pedestrian streets. It is one hour from larnaca or the airport. Beautiful one day trip you can take the bus or the car...
