365discount — Local services in Aarhus Municipality

365Discount has replaced Fakta as the Coop discount store in Denmark, but other than the name and re-fitting of some of the stores, it's very much the same! Other than special offers, it is almost on pare with the other Coop stores - which has a much greater selection of products - when it comes to pricing. Paired that with my feeling that Coop own brand products are inferior to own brand products from the likes of Føtex, LIDL and Rema1000 - who all are very competitive on prices compared with all Coop stores and brands, then it is probably no surprise that I only use 365Discount on the odd occasion that they have very special offers - or my wife want a special puppet seed rye bread only sold by COOP. That said, 365 Discount seems to be very good at marking down products which are getting near "last sales by" date, and if you know that products last for about a week longer in the fridge, and still can be frozen as you do with "fresh" food, it is worth looking for products marked down for...

Supposedly the "Discount" wing of COOP Denmark, Fakta is surprisingly expensive! Let me be clear, my mantra when shopping food is primarily that I want value for money (I believe that you can save money to expensively if you do not look at both quality and price when shopping). Other than their Blue Circle coffee and their Popped seed rye bread, I hardly ever buy anything at any Coop shops - even when it is cheap, the quality is so bad that it is not worth the money! My second mantra is that I want a positive shopping experience, and as this specific Fakta store is old, warn and outdated, I prefer to go to the Lidl store located only about 100 m. away - they have excellent value for money and is a positive shopping experience. Generelt rigtig god og med et fornuftigt udvalg af det meste. Det meste af personalet er rigtig godt, men det evige problem med de unge ansatte, som de fleste små steder er ramt af, er en aura af ugidelighed, ligegyldighed og mangel på service. En ung teenager var der for at hjælpe en dag.. Ham skulle de have holdt ude på lageret. En fin lille sætning at lære alle nye, hvis der bliver stillet dem et spørgsmål de ikke ved svaret på: det ved jeg desværre ikke, men nu skal jeg hente en der kan hjælpe.
