If you are into very much of a down to earth, no comfort, experiences it’s the place. Personally, I found it sad that administrators invested MOST attention into the merchandise like cups and sauna hats, rather than making comfortable surrounding and pleasant atmosphere for people who come to enjoy sauna. For example, it would be great if they could work on the nice path to the water, and build strong and stable ladder to the harbour so it’s not scary and wiggly to take a dip, overall you have to queue to take a short dip and on the way it is so easy to slip and fall, which is so stressful that it kind of destroying the whole peaceful experience of SaunaGus. Moreover there is no proper changing rooms, and the existing set up is sad, cold and really wired semi tent (military conditions). Moreover, they play music during the guss session, which I believe is very personal to different taste and it just does not fit the vibes of relaxation at all, in my subjective opinion. Also, they had really shady “snacks” that were in wired plastic box and all soaked under the rain, on top of it, the water contained is so hard to open and use, which is again, really bad thinking form the administration side. The place has a potential to grow, and they can get the heat going (depending on the gus master), but overall it was dirty, muddy, cold, uncomfortable and very stressful experience. Do not recommend as price and value does not match, and it’s a hassle...
Read moreOn an active building site. Not hygge at all. No access to the waterfront. We arrived 15 minutes before hand, and they had just started the wood-burning stove to warm up the Sauna. Changing rooms were just a caravan, it's unclear to me if they were mixed gender or not. There's homemade outdoor shower, over a wooden pallet (if I recall correctly) - next to it says "Shower before Sauna and Icebath". Suffice to say, my parent's who I had brought out to this building site, were extremely uncomfortable.
I politely asked for a refund and was refused, only to swap tickets to another day.
Edit (to respond to owner): The website and ticket did indeed not specify: (1) That the facilities are on an active building site (2) the sauna is warmed less than 15 minutes in advance (3) That you need to use mixed gender changing rooms (4) That we were required to take a cold homemade outdoor shower before using...
Read moreWe had trouble finding the place. It’s not where the map on their website says it is. They have problems with rats - we could see them running around outside the sauna during the gus. The sauna is too crowded when it is fully booked. Told them about our experience afterwards which they told me they would look into, but I am still waiting for reply (it’s been...
