Avernakø is a Danish island south of Funen. The island covers an area of 6 km² and has about 100 inhabitants. Originally, Avernakø was two separate islands, "Korshavn" and "Avernak". In 1937 the two islands were connected by a dam named "Drejet", due to its peculiar shape. Main occupations are agriculture and tourism.

Avernakø er en skøn ø i det sydfynske øhav.. svigermor har en gård der så vi kommer nogle gange om året.. men en god idé at kende til de små smukke øer da der er rigtig smukt og hyggen er noget for sig.. man kan dog godt få økuller så én overnatning eller 2 er måske nok for de fleste.. man kan dog leje sig ind i sommerhus, eller på den gamle skole hos gitte ged..man kan også sejle dertil og ligge i havnen.. Der er åbnet en café ved færgelejet og der findes en lille...
