På forårstur med Hedelands Veteranbane. +(O)+ English Translation Jeg var på udflugt med firmaet Einar Madsen ApS og vi kørte en rigtig dejlig bumletur med Veteranbanen gennem Hedelands smukke landskab. Da vi nåede til stationen ved Brandhøj holdt vi ind på et vigespor, for at møde det damptog, som skulle køre os tilbage, efter vi havde spis frokost ved "Fem Ege". Det var et grønt, flot nymalet damptog, som stolt tøffede forbi. Efter Brandhøj kom vi forbi Hedelands forårsgrønne enge og ret kort efter fik vi til udsigten til den høje skibakke, som hvert år udfordrer mange uøvede lokale skiløbere, mon ikke også den får en del af dem til at falde på halen; men jeg er også sikker på at de alle sammen har det sjovt. Så kom vi til Rubjerg station - og efter den, standsede toget ved "Fem Ege". Her stod vi af, sagde farvel til toget og gik til et hyggeligt shelter, hvor vi fik dejlige nysmurte sandwiches og noget køligt at drikke, mens vi hørte fuglene synge i krattet bag ved - det hele blev selvfølgeligt afbrudt, da Daniel råbte, "Nu kører toget om et kvarter". Så vi stæsede tilbage til "Fem Ege", hvor damptoget, der skulle køre os tilbage til "Hedehushård" holdt. Ved endestationen fik ungerne en velfortjent is.

On a spring trip with Hedelands Veteran Railway. I went on an excursion with the company Einar Madsen Ltd, and we took a lovely bumpy ride on the Veteran Railway through the beautiful landscape of Hedeland. When we reached the Brandhøj station, we stopped on a siding to meet the steam train that would take us back after lunch at "Fem Ege". It was a green, beautifully painted steam train that proudly chugged past. After Brandhøj, we passed by the spring green meadows of Hedeland, and shortly after, we caught sight of the tall ski slope that challenges many inexperienced local skiers each year. I'm sure it also makes quite a few of them fall on their backsides, but I'm equally sure they all have a blast. Then we arrived at Rubjerg station, and after that, the train stopped at "Fem Ege". We got off, bid farewell to the train, and headed to a cozy shelter where we enjoyed delicious freshly made sandwiches and something cool to drink, while listening to the birds singing in the bushes behind us. Of course, the serene atmosphere was interrupted when Daniel shouted, "The train is leaving in fifteen minutes!". Very nice experience being in open and vintage train , the scenery is amazing, one can take advantage of visiting horse stables and train museum as well. It is a nice escape from crowds and city. Must visit place to go back to traditional times of train travel . Highly recommended! One can get off the train in between the stops , there are different scenic stops in between...

Really great little railway. They have a steam engine and I think the other one is disieal. The train ride goes through some nice countryside. You can get coffee and ice cream there but it is a god idea to take a picnic with you. I would have given it 5 stars but I gave it 4 because I did not see a public...
