My first impression when we arrived was: boy, this is in the middle of nowhere. And it actually is, but that’s a good thing!||You‘ll need a car to get around, but then there are plenty of places to visit nearby, for example, awesome beaches (Henne Strand, Nymindegab, Hvide Sande, Søndervig, etc.), WOW-Park (40min), Ribe (60min), and more. Norre Nebel, the next town, is only 5 minutes away by car and has several supermarkets.||We had rented a small two-story house next to the main parking space. I was a bit worried about traffic noise, but it was actually pretty calm inside the house.||The houses are privately owned, so I assume each is furnished individually. Ours offered two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bath room with washing machine and a living room with TV and PS2. The kitchen was well-equipped. We found everything clean, except for the inside of the window frames, which was black from mold.||The main building hosts two restaurants, a waterpark with two slides, a bowling center, and a big indoor playground, as well as a little shop, where you can get everything you need to survive in your house for a couple of days.||The playground was a big highlight for my kids, we had to spend every day half an hour (or more) there.||The waterpark was fun too, although I was disappointed about the cleanliness in the changing rooms (frankly speaking, I found it so disgusting that I took a second shower back in our house). The public toilets in the main building need some more attention too. ||One thing to mention is that you need to pay for water and electricity separately. For 10 days, we paid almost 70€, which seems pretty expensive to me (we paid attention to not wasting water and turning off lights, etc. when not needed). Since I do not live in Denmark, it is pretty difficult for me to put this price into relation. ||Other than these few points, we had a great time at Landal Seawest and I can recommend a visit. I would go there...
Read moreOur recent stay at Landal Seawest turned into a nightmare due to the resort’s negligence and shockingly poor treatment of guests.||While on the terrace, our 3-year-old daughter was playing quietly with a bubble machine near the outdoor glass table provided by the resort. Without any impact or warning, the entire glass surface suddenly shattered beneath her, covering her with sharp shards. She suffered multiple cuts to her legs and hands. It was traumatic — and we were lucky it didn’t end in a hospital visit.||When I reported this horrifying incident to reception, I expected concern or at least a basic human response. No one even asked how our daughter was doing. Instead, I was immediately pressured to pay 800 DKK for the broken table. The staff coldly stated, “it’s your word against ours,” and made it clear there was no point in disputing it — we would lose anyway.||The table was clearly old and rusted, and very likely unsafe. When I brought this up, I was told that we should have taken a photo of the table before it shattered — an absurd and unreasonable demand for any guest.||They had no documentation of the table’s condition, value, or maintenance history. Yet we were blamed, charged, and treated as if we were trying to scam them — all while our injured child was completely ignored.||This was a serious safety failure, and Landal Seawest’s response was cold, defensive, and shameful. No responsibility. No empathy. No professionalism.||We left the resort feeling angry, dismissed, and honestly betrayed. If this is how they handle dangerous situations involving children, I strongly urge others to think twice before...
Read moreHouse very nice, but reastaurant bad. According to homepage the restaurant Landal seawest serves brunch for 159 dkkr. I booked a table online for the specific restaurant in Landal seawest. The system gave me the possibility of choosing breakfast which I expected must include brunch. I needed to change some specifics about the reservation, however the phone was not answered and the online possibility in my reservation confimation (which I got by mail twice) did not work. When I finally got through to the restaurant, a waitress made me aware that the specific Landal Seawest restaurant do NOT serve brunch nor breakfast, only lunch and dinner, and the reason why I could reserve a table for breakfast was because the booking system were including all restaurants from Landal. She was adamant that I misunderstood the homepage and the mistake was ours. I have now double checked the website as well as my reservation confimation and the website advertises that Landal Seawest serves brunch and specifies that reservation must be made the day before (which I did, the first confirmation of the booking was received 23 hours before the reservation) and my reservation confimation confirms that Landal Seawest accepted out booking. So false advertisement as well as wrongly accepting a booking when they could not deliver. 1 star for the restaurant as they did not live up to their part of the deal and we could not get what...
