Apart from the beach without much crowd and almost red sand around the shore area. The hill with 870mts is good and safe for walking with beautiful view. There cross around the steps along with some safety wood works. Better avoid on storm / too heavy windy sessions. The mobile tower moved to Jamica and receiving the roaming message is...

It's a ruff climb. Lots of loose rocks. Proper foot wear a must. There were stairs here what looks like 10+ years ago but only remnants remain in a few spots. But if you want to fallow in the foot steps of Christopher...

Es un hermoso lugar, puedes apreciar la hermosura de este lugar desde que se comienza el recorrido pasando por las salinas de Montecristi, todo el trayecto bien cuidado, una vegetación particular del lugar diferente, cuando se llega al morro es una de las mejores vistas que se pueden apreciar, una playa hermosa, aunque sin sombras hasta entrada la tarde donde las montañas crean sombras, recomendable llevar agua o algún líquido para hidratarse, la playa el limpia, con muchas olas no tan grandes, una mezcla de temperaturas del agua cuando te bañas, templada y a veces corrientes frías, excelente lugar para acampar (no se sí lo permiten), el lugar es increíble para tomar fotos...

I would definitely recommend this walk through Las Cruces in the Morro Montecristi. Is a must to bring water and sunscreen. You will witness a spectacular view.
