Our family had a mixed experience with this company. We took part in the horseback riding and city tour offerings. The horseback riding was nice overall. The trails and views were beautiful and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The horses were somewhat small and slightly emaciated, and I felt somewhat guilty having one of the larger ones tote my 200 pound frame around. The lunch afterwards was an excellent sampling of Dominican fare and was delicious. The city tour is where things took a bad turn. Our tour guide Kennedy essentially took us by the establishments of his friends in the city in a pitch to get us to buy their goods or services. We had not brought much cash due to the reputation of the area and by the end we had spent up most of what we had brought (many of these establishments would not accept cards or digital transactions). By the end of the tour (which he cut short by a hour), we did not have enough cash left for an adequate tip for him and the driver. He would not accept any form of digital payment, and turned very quickly from our happy go lucky tour guide to a wannabe mobster when we did not offer what he thought was an adequate tip. Luckily, we were at the dock gate and were able to avoid an unpleasant scene due to the presence of security. Additionally, the hike and waterfalls were delightful, and each guide demonstrated professionalism, humor, and engaging storytelling that enriched the experience.

Indira’s professionalism and genuine care for our small group stood out. She offered thoughtful encouragement to the young boys in our group who were initially apprehensive, fostering their confidence. By the final zipline, both boys were eager to go first, a testament to Indira’s positive influence. Her lighthearted humor, motivational spirit, and attentiveness elevated the excursion beyond mere enjoyment, creating a truly memorable and meaningful experience.

I booked the VIP pass excursion for our time in port on a girls trip cruise not really sure what to expect but I’m so glad I did. The pass included horse back riding, an off-road ATV ride, zip lining and lunch. Great food by the way. The staff (especially Raphael) were very friendly and made us feel welcomed from the moment we stepped off the bus. The horse back ride through the countryside was beautiful and peaceful. The ATV ride through the forest and city was fun and exciting! The tour guides were great and very attentive to ensure our safety. We made a stop in the village to a quaint little store where we sampled Dominican coffee and purchased souvenirs. The zip lines were cool but completing all eight of them can be challenging. Be prepared for plenty of walking and climbing hills. No need to worry about pictures. A photographer (Photo Island) was there to capture the moment and the package is available for purchase.
