Giza Pyramids Sound & Light Show ✨ A Magical Night Under the Stars!

Review of the Sound and Light Show in Egypt The Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids is a concept that holds great potential, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Despite reserving VIP seats, my group and I found ourselves standing for over 20 minutes, along with dozens of other VIP ticket holders, as there were no seats available. Shockingly, it became apparent that organizers had given the reserved VIP seats to friends and family, leaving paying customers to fend for themselves. The show itself is in dire need of an update. It felt like watching an old black-and-white movie, only with colors hastily added. The narration and effects were outdated and overly dramatic, bordering on cheesy. In a time when immersive and engaging technology is readily available, this show sadly lags decades behind. To make matters worse, the experience was repeatedly interrupted by cars driving down the nearby hill, their glaring headlights blinding the audience for several seconds each time. This lack of coordination and planning significantly detracted from what should have been a memorable event. Overall, this show desperately needs modernization in both its content and organization. While the pyramids are breathtaking and deserve to be showcased properly, the current execution does a disservice to this iconic site. Until significant improvements are made, I would not recommend this experience to others.

Overall, the Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids is a worthwhile experience – the setting is undeniably magical, and seeing the pyramids lit up under the night sky is truly unique. However, there were several issues that significantly impacted the experience. We had booked front-row VIP tickets, but on site, there was no guidance or control over seating. People sat wherever they wanted, and the supposed VIP area was not enforced at all. Throughout the entire performance, dozens of stray dogs were barking loudly and running around the venue. This constant noise was extremely distracting and really took away from the atmosphere. As for the show itself, it featured various narrator voices telling the story of ancient Egypt, accompanied by lighting on the pyramids. However, the audio levels fluctuated – some parts were very loud, others barely audible. While there were occasional projections on the central wall, these were few and far between. I had expected more visual storytelling to accompany the narration. In summary, the show has potential and is certainly worth seeing for the location alone, but poor organization and external disturbances seriously diminished the overall experience.

Very Disappointing Experience at Pyramids – Not Worth the Time or Money

I was genuinely frustrated by the experience of the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids. The show lasted less than an hour and was extremely basic, lacking any real effects, creativity, or engaging content. It felt outdated and boring, far from what you'd expect at such a globally iconic site.

I booked a VIP ticket expecting a better experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t offer any added value. The seating was dusty and uncomfortable, with no noticeable perks compared to regular tickets. It definitely didn’t justify the higher price.

The technology used was shockingly outdated. The radio translator devices were of very poor quality — the sound was muffled, full of static, and felt like something from decades ago.

There was no designated parking area, which forced me to deal with random local individuals offering parking services without any official supervision. This felt unsafe and unprofessional, especially for visitors who might not be familiar with the area.

Also, the WhatsApp number listed on the official website is unreliable. I messaged them with an inquiry and only received a reply the next day — totally unacceptable for a tourism service.

Summary: We need to present our civilization and historical landmarks in a way that makes Egyptians proud and leaves tourists with a positive impression. I had considered inviting foreign friends to this show, but after this experience, I’m glad I saw it first — I definitely won’t be recommending it, as it would only damage our country’s reputation. Very...
