Restaurante Rincon Tipico de El Sopón — Local services in Santa Ana

I actually didn't want to visit this place because it was quite a distance from the centre of town, and I would have regretted not visiting because I would have missed out such good food from this restaurant. I happened to check google maps and alight from the bus somewhere not too far on my way back from the volcano hike, and it only took me a short walk to this restaurant. Walked in and was surprised how big the interior was with an upper floor for dining as well. Was given the menu and there was quite a variety of dishes available took quite some time to decide on what to eat. Heard the Cream Seafood soup is a recommended dish so I ordered that. Also ordered the mixed Ceviche, which I thought would not be too big but turned out very big. I could have just been contented just with one dish. Took me quite a while to finish 2 dishes as well and loved the freshness of the seafood. The ceviche was really good and the soup was also rich and flavourful. So surprised to see a crab in there! Food is totally good in big portions and the price is so reasonable it doesn't burn a hole in the pocket. I recommend that this is one of the must visit restaurants...

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The customer service was poor—staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful. Our order was incorrect, and when we brought it up, they didn’t seem to care. The food took over an hour and thirty minutes to be served, which was unacceptable. Waiters take too much time to take your orders and when they finally do, they come back after other several minutes to tell you they have just ran out of what you have ordered.
