We visited Kyyhkyla Manor Hotel inspired by their couples -campaign. Kyyhkyla advertised a special weekend offer for couples arriving at selected weekends. The package included bottle of sparkling wine & chocolates upon arrival and assorted cheeses brought to the room during the second day. ||||Our room was located in the new hotel building (we knew to ask for this based on the previous review!) and everything in the room was really impeccable, in excellent condition. The view was towards forest which definitely is the private side of the building and can be recommended as the other side of the new hotel faces the manor building and yard where pretty much everyone is walking during daytime. In our room we had the kitchenette equipment; refrigerator, microwave oven, electric water heater and mugs, plates etc. cutlery for 4 persons. The kitchen area as well as every smallest corner in the room was very clean and like said, in perfect condition. Point to notice for those who like to sleep in dark: the room had long blackout curtains that allowed the room to be turned almost pitch black. The only exception were the sides which let some light through, but nevertheless the curtain arrangement was way better than in many hotels which we have seen.||||The room was equipped with flat screen TV, small safe with combination lock to be set by the guest (fit for 14" laptop), desk, cabinets, and in our room we had two separate beds. The receptionist told us that also double beds are available in some rooms. Wireless network connection was free and worked perfect for us, both in mobile and laptop. The hotel has good material about rooms and equipments in their website. These new hotel rooms are best introduced in their downloadable brochure. ||||Breakfast was served in the old side, Manor building. They offered both warm and cold options in buffet setting. The selection was not the widest that we have seen in this type of hotels, but good enough to get you going for the day. We also took one evening meal at the Manor restaurant. Dinner was served to table with fixed menu of the day, including starter, main and desert with coffee or tea. This had to be booked in advance by 4pm and the serving took place at 6pm. Food was again good enough (do not expect high-end international kitchen) and for us very satisfactory. The portions were tasty and what should be mentioned separately: they were large enough for the hungriest ones too! Compared to the option of driving to city center looking for a restaurant... it was sure the best choice to stay in, have everything ready-made for you and then just stroll back to your room.||||As the hotel is located outside of city, you need to have a car or prepare to take taxi for any travel to shopping etc. However, if you prefer to enjoy the nature and services available in the hotel and just relax, this is very nice place to do so. ||||As almost nothing is perfect, we also had two negative observations during our stay. First one was the bed which was clearly on the harder side and I could feel that in my muscles on the morning. Second, strange observation, was a noise in our room, perhaps air conditioning or some other technical system but something was making loud humming noise all the time during our stay. If you are used to city noises day and night then this could be nothing to be mentioned, but for us who live in the countryside this noise was louder than expected nor experienced in many other hotels. ||||Service in the hotel was very good, people were helpful and for us Kyyhkyla hotel is sure in our list to come back to when we next travel...
Read moreStayed here for the second time this year. First time was in the winter and we liked it. Now, when coming again, it was summertime and it looked all so different; the trees and all the gardening, how nice. We stayed for one night at the new part, the Rustholli, which is modern and very clean. We had a room with a well equipped small kitchen. The airco was wonderfull as it was so hot outside. It is so peacefull, because it is situated far away from any kind of traffic. You can really relax and enjoy about the peacefull atmosphere here. The receptionist was very friendly and helpfull, although was more busy with working with the pc. In the lobby there was a small bar, where you can grab a coffee, ice cream or an apperative. Children are not forgotten, as there are games etc. available. ||||The rooms are very modern and clean. Not much space, but then, it keeps you away from laying on the bed and watch TV. Lot of space for clothes and other gear. The beds are good, but maybe a little bit narrow for an adult. Bathroom is very well equipped. The rooms are very silent. You can sleep very well and if for some strange reason, you might hear something, there are even ear plugs in the drawer!||||The sauna downstairs is good as well is the spa -department. It had a nice relaxing atmosphere. The beach sauna was not available so no experience from that part. So instead of that we took a round of a 18 hole minigolf, which was fun. ||||The breakfast was served at the old part of the manor. This is a nice renovated and decorated building, which has a restaurant and also guest rooms. The breakfast was good with plenty items to choose from. Thank you for the fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and salad! The service was also very friendly! ||||It was nice to stay here again, but one night is not enough. Next time I will...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night in the new building (room 205). We had a great view of the forest from our room. The windows could be opened so we didn't need to use the air conditioner the fresh air kept the room cool. The bed was firm but comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We went on a beautiful walking trail around the lake which took about one hour there and back. If you are arriving after 6 pm in summer then dinner is over and you have to go into town to eat. The dinner buffet is open from 2pm to 6pm. They have so many facilities row boats, swimming in the lake, mini golf, tennis courts, indoor pool, beach volleyball and outdoor gym equipment which we made use of. Our only regret was we weren't there long enough to take advantage of all the activities on offer. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room in the old building with the sun streaming through the...
