Did a wonderful 30 min husky safari!

Unfortunately it was not possible to book the husky safari online in advance because they are reserved for the "accomodation guests" of the Ranua resort, and this is really a pity (we came from Rovaniemi by car). However we were lucky and called the same morning to "book" via phone the 30 min husky safari (70 euro each), saying we would be there in time for the activity (12:30). After wearing their suits, gloves and shoes, we got an introduction from the guide on how to drive the sled and then we started the ride, which was wonderful. The snowy landscape and the dogs happy to run made it really special. Also, I was a bit scared to drive the sled but it was actually very easy and a lot of fun (it's pretty much only about braking by pressing down with the feet, the dogs already know the way)! We thought that the time for the ride was just right, as you can get physically tired from the driving process and it's enough to enjoy the sledding and the sorroundings. You can also switch riders in between if you want. At the end of the ride we got to pet the huskies and thank them for the wonderful ride as long as we wanted. We felt very welcome and not rushed at all from the staff, and this is always very much appreciated. The husky safari took in total almost 1.5 h (30 min is the sledding time only). I totally recommend this husky safari and couple it with other activities offered by the Ranua Resort (zoo, snowshoes or fatbike...

Expérience magique durant 2 heures où nous avons découvert les chiens de traîneaux en famille (3 enfants de 14, 12 et 7 ans). Nous avions réservé cette activité avec l' hôtel Gulo Gulo où nous avons séjourné 3 nuits. Les chiens sont magnifiques, très gentils et la balade est extraordinaire avec des paysages magnifiques. Un point important pour nous, le bien être animal. On sent que l' équipe de Arctic Borealis Huskies est passionnée et prend soin de ses chiens. A l' issue de la balade, nous avons pu les raccompagner au sein du chenil où nous avons pu échanger avec notre guide (Lionel) sur ses chiens. On sent qu'il les connait et a à coeur de prendre soin d' eux. Pendant cet échange, les chiens se montraient très affectueux. Bref, expérience inoubliable, merci Lionel et merci à Arctic...

Called and confirmed a booking time 2 days in advance. Asked to email, I had emailed and called back 2 hours later to confirm as I had no response. They said they will confirm on email. Got nothing, would really avoid this company! Seems to have...
