Upon looking at a few comments about Arcandia we decided to go have a look. Just to get in you have to pay, for a family of 4 (3 adults + 1 child) was €60. We purchased transfers for €40 from the snowmobile park and bought 20 tokens for €50. Total cost of €150.
We got to the park and had a little wait as we were early, doors opened at 18:00. We entered, showed and collected our token and off we went, it does seem like a magical place when you enter with all the lights etc.
We wanted to look around first but definitely wanted to try the axe throwing and all that grown up stuff. Unfortunately the Shaman park wasn't open till 19:00, not sure why so we decided to walk the light trail. I must say, I have more Christmas lights outside my house than on this light trail, very disappointed!!!
Back to what was open at the start, you can do archery, inflatable snowballs, slingshot, there were also swings there. Tbh I wasn't impressed from the start but it's for the kids right!
We decided to pop in the hut for hot chocolates etc, inside was amazing with an open fire in the middle and comfy seating all round. After queueing for a bit I got to the counter, asked for my drinks and paid, I was a little bit shocked to find that you had to make your own HC (which was a sachet and hot water) all for €5, a large marshmallow was €1.50 each. Even though we've come to expect it from Levi, I still think the price for what you had was a bit much.
Yo some extent it felt a little magical, I would say more so for my daughter.
So the Shaman village opened, we threw some axes, my wife had an astrological reading, my son threw some spears and then we made our way down to the snowmobile, I just want to say be very very careful about decided if your child so go on one, we asked the girl who was running the snowmobiles about height restrictions and it seemed to be made up (using her hand rather than a proper guide). I wish I listened to my gut not as after the second go around my daughter came off and was really upset so please be careful, my daughter for a 4 year old is quite tall too.
So you sum up a long review, by the end we spend €170. To be honest, I feel it's not really worth it, maybe okay for killing time if you love spending money but if I return to Levi I will not be returning...
Read moreWe had a really memorable evening at Arcandia. We were two adults and a ten year old child. It's stunningly beautiful and so much to do. We booked to arrive at 7pm, and by closing time we still could have happily spent several more hours there. We will definitely return on our next visit to Levi. The atmosphere is magical. I was especially impressed at the very kind and helpful nature of all the staff. In fact, there was a mix up where I thought I had only prebooked one bag of coins when the lady at the desk thought it was three and I happily went on my way to explore with one bag. I received a phone call very shortly after to let me know I was definitely meant to get three and they wanted to make sure they got them to me. I wouldn't have known if they didn't say anything and they went out of their way to ensure we were looked after even though it was my own mistake.
It is a very authentic, atmospheric, unique experience and it's important to understand that it is not a commercialised experience with a giant corporation behind it that some visitors might be used to. Immerse yourself in the magic, go with the flow, bring your marshmallows and sticks for the kota. There's quite a variety of things to do, and because of that, it can be confusing at first if you're used to a more basic, streamlined commercial adventure park, but all the information is written out on the website. It's a fantastic experience, if you embrace it. Book one of the dining experiences if you can, we didn't get the opportunity but they looked fabulous. We really enjoyed the magic show, which we booked. As were leaving the park, my daughter was begging us to come back another evening, which sadly we didn't have time to do, but Arcandia is top of the list...
Read moreWe visited Arcandia Arctic as two adults and had pre-booked tickets to see the magician at 17:00. We arrived just before 16:45, only to find very long queues at the ticket hut on entry, with only one person handling check-ins. Unfortunately, this meant we didn’t get to the magician’s hut until around 17:15, despite arriving early.
The check-in process is slow because depending on your booking, you need to be issued tickets and depending on what you have booked, for families, Arcandia’s own currency coins for the games. Upon getting in there were lots of staff sitting around elsewhere, not doing anything it was frustrating to see only one person managing the busy entrance. For guests like us, who had only booked the magician and a park pass to walk around after, there should be a quicker process and we were late to the magician.
In total, we spent €90 for two people and stayed for about 1.5 hours—45 minutes in the magician’s hut and another hour walking around the park. The atmosphere is undeniably beautiful, with stunning lights, deep snow, and a magical feel that’s perfect for the festive season.
However, we felt it was quite expensive for the time spent there. The place has a lot of potential, but better organisation on arrival is definitely needed to avoid such delays. If you’re only there for a specific show and not the games, how early are you expected to arrive to ensure you’re on time? Half an hour to get a few larger families and groups checked in is very slow. There should be staff at the entrance inviting people and assisting with guests queuing.
Overall, it’s a lovely place with a magical setting, but improvements in guest management on arrival would make the experience far smoother and...
