02.12.2023-10.12.2023.Connection on top of Ylläs to Ylläsjärvi was closed/not available. In Ylläs there were 1 piste open from the top. There is 20min drive to Ylläsjärvi where there were 2 pistes open from the top. Some short and very easy blue pistes were open in both places. Explanation to the situation was that the season was at the beginning. This should also be seen in ticket prices. There were quite alot of visitors in Ylläs/Ylläsjärvi and I believe that I wasn't the only one who was a bit upset. Read moreYou’ll either have to have the ski pass or purchase a cable car pass to get up to the top. It’s a beautiful frozen wonderland up at the top. Kept busy by all the skiers and snowboarders who stay either on the north or south of the slopes.
There were loads of people just up there for a hike and there were even dogs enjoying the snow.

Lots of button and t bars which are a pain. We had lots of foggy days which are common in early January which spoilt the skiing.
