Distillerie Guillon — Local services in Épernay

Ordered a bottle from the distillery in January - nothing received by February. Contacted distillery (which despite having options to purchase from the UK has no ability to message in English). They tried to make out that an order placed on the 17th January had been delivered from their location to the UK on the 20th of January. No proof of signature (which would seem a minimum from DPD and for delivery of alcohol). When informed that no delivery had been made they indicated that they'd investigate and then did nothing. No further contact and have had to make a claim through my credit card for refund). Awful customer service, poor comms, poor organisation. Won't bother...

I did the tour of the distillerie. When arriving you are a little underwhelmed as it looks very small. But the reception and hospitality made it all better. Then we went outside to the other buildings where they made and stored all the precious liquids. Very interesting. The tasting was the cherry on the cake. C'est avec curiosité et enthousiasme que nous sommes venus avec un couple d'amis pour visiter et déguster du Guillon. Malheureusement nôtre curiosité à été très vite anéanti, lorsque 5 minutes après le début de la visite, on nous explique que c'est finit. Il faut payer 5€ par personne, pour voir deux alambics dans un hangar, et un lot de containers empilés dans la cour. Par la suite, la dégustation fut laborieuse. Malgré tous les efforts de notre guide, très serviable, mais qui ne pouvait pas à elle seule, répondre au téléphone, aux questions des trente visiteurs, s' occuper de la dégustation et des factures. Les plus malins, sont ceux qui sont partis après la dégustation sans rien payer. Notre enthousiasme quand à lui, a été pulvérisé lorsque dès notre arrivée à Epernay, nous avons trouvé les mêmes bouteilles, mais 7,5€ de moins que sûr place. Je précise que nous avons pris pour plus de 250€ de Guillon à la distillerie . Alors la, je me dits Mr Guillon, vous prenez vos clients pour des pigeons.
