We stayed in this hut for one night en route on the GR5. The refuge offers place for about 35 people and is located just before (walking south) the col. The views are fantastic. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and offers great food, both in the afternoon (crepes!) and during dinner and breakfast. The dormitories are nice, with ample ventilation. There is one shower (€ 2,80). It was full when we stayed, but that adds to the atmosphere. The place is not too big and I wonder how one copes if it is poring with rain and everyone arrives soaking wet. I am sure the staff will...

You can follow a small trail (color blue white red) and climb up the top, where you’ll be able to see both sides of the valley and all surrounding mountains!
