Pros: absolutely excellent, incredibly beautiful and interesting place, free parking on the grass in front of the entrance, entry was free! probably because of some special event, toilet available for free, after installing the application you can walk freely through the fortress, scan QR codes and get information for individual rooms and spaces, excellent idea - here the past is connected to present with clever using of IT, the application is very cool, simple, with English translations, inside, there is a small buffet but offers just drinks, the fortress is huge, it has many many nice exhibits, everywhere is cleanniness, even in toilet, we spend there more than 2 hours, Cons: staff doesn't speak English, but we still were able to understand each other, the man was helpfull, very kind, I can say just one big thank you for everything, we spend a...

What an absolutely amazing place!!!! It may be slightly smaller than other forts that we have visited, but wow, totally crammed with artifacts and information. Never ever seen so much trench art!!!!! The room dedicated to the US pilot was exceptional. So much to see and the re-creations of soldiers in the trenches and in their sleeping quarters was very realistic. Would highly recommend this place and we would...

A wonderful find of a 1800's French fort. It was attacked by the Germans in WW1 and part of it was destroyed. The museum is very good and shows the fort through its history. It is well worth a visit. It is disabled friendly which for us was a boon, although we did not take the path around to the top of the...

Very nice reconstruction of a WW1 setting. The fort was renovated beautifully and is well maintained. Guide booklets are available in different languages but the text at the exhibitions is entirely in French. Other than that it's worth a visit!
