We chose the half day tour, 3.5 hours. It was plenty of time to give us everything we wanted. And it was very full of adventure. First we saw the giant manta rays. In another location we swam with small sharks, stingrays and beautifully colored fish. The water was crystal clear everywhere we went. I was able to take lots of underwater photos and video captures of marine life. Our last stop was the coral reef. The boat crew was amazing, a husband and wife team with their 10-year-old nephew, Tapu. The highlight of this adventure was the profound life-changing experience for my wife because of this little boy, Tapu. My wife came along for the ride but did not want to go in the water because of her fear of sharks and other dangers. She also didn't like putting her face in the water for snorkeling. We have a pool at home and she is a good swimmer but she's never had a successful snorkeling experience because of a leaking mask and fear of being underwater. The woman guide helped her adjust her mask so that it was tight in waterproof. Then Tapu took my wife by the hand and led her out into the ocean and helped her overcome her fears. She swam with manta rays, sharks and stingrays. She even petted a stingray for the first time ever. This little fella had a profound impact on my wife and we are forever grateful. Very friendly and helpful staff, they even dropped us off directly at our hotel pontoon, which was about 300m from the drop off point. They will do a good job to make sure you have a great time swimming with ray and sharks. As well as describe the borabora landscape with the multiple hotels, lagoons specificities..
