Les canoës du Guildo — Local services in Dinan

We had an absolute splendid kayak trip on June 1st. Just before high tide we met with Thierry; he gave us clear instructions, a wet suit and dry case for our personal belongings.

With the upcoming tide we went with the kayak upstream into the Arguenon river (it was too windy to go onto the sea that day). Midway our 3hour trip, the tide shifted and we returned with the lowering water back from the mainland in the direction of the sea (our starting point close to the bridge at Guildo). Along the way, we saw quite some wild life, many birds and astonishing views.

Thierry est très sympa et flexible. Son spot est unique car il permet de partir soit côté mer, soit côté rivière dans un havre de paix ornithologique. Un must comme activité en Bretagne, idéal qu’il fasse grand soleil ou qu’il pleuve. Pensez bien à regarder les horaires des marées, la baie se vide intégralement à marée basse ;) phénomène d’ailleurs spectaculaire à cet endroit précis. J’ai adoré faire la baie à pied, puis 2-3h plus tard être au même endroit en kayak en pleine mer alors plus que...
