Limited parking but if you are patient you will find one, we waited in our car just 10min yesterday (overcast and cool). Aside from standard information, I would argue the grainy type of plaster material they treated the walls with has the biggest impact on this chapel overall (not symbols or who’s who on last supper panel). It seems like they were able to sketch and crush colors over the surface after they treated it in this unusual way. Reminded me drawing with a crayon on paper, placed on the city sidewalk. Or that texture they treated swimming pools with in the 1960s. Unfortunately you can’t see it in the pictures I posted but it is there. Ground up sea shell? Not sure but it...

Our lady of Jerusalem is a small chapel in the heights of Frejus. This was the last work of artist Jean Cocteau, and it's a little jewel to discover. Outdoor mosaiques, stained glass doors and inside walls decorated by Cocteau. It's a 10 minutes walk from the parking to the chapel and an entrance fee of 3 Euros. Some might find it a little bit pricey, but I was glad to contribute just to maintain that unic artwork and...
