So close to being one of the best hotels in the WORLD - especially for families l
A beautiful resort with fantastic facilities and great staff with long service at the hotel.
The pool area is incredible - tranquil - well managed and beautifully set up.
I can’t think of a better kids club anywhere in the world. Amazing facilities, impeccably managed, tremendous staff who are attentive, interested and caring.
Reception, concierge and other staff are friendly, long standing and always there to make you feel comfortable and relaxed
However let down by 2 things
One restaurant for breakfast, one for lunch and one for dinner. No other options. Plenty of facilities for more choices but they keep everyone coming to the same places. Used to have a Michelin star restaurant which was fantastic but it’s now closed and the reasoning didn’t seem to make sense.
Breakfast is a buffet with some extra a la carte options - it’s good fresh and well presented. The staff are great.
Lunch is at the pool restaurant- varied menu well cooked and the staff are fantastic especially the head waiter/ restaurant manager. My favourite.
Dinner - a shambles. Unorganised, disfunctional staff with no leadership. Overworked so over stressed and that comes across in the service. Menu is a varied mix of cuisines and “please all” rather than do anything good. Our steaks were well done - not medium as we asked - but we would have totally got past it has the manager acted like he remotely cared. Which he clearly didn’t. He didn’t even bother to stand and speak to us about it. The whole resort comes for dinner here so if you get your timings wrong service plummets. There is a tasting menu from the Michelin chef but you would be brave to order it.
I complained about the number of restaurant options to one of the managers who said that I could order room service and eat in my room. We have gone out of the resort to eat dinner every night since and has much better food.
They arrive en mass the second your food arrives and then won’t leave . Especially at Le Guadina. Some wasp traps arrived on our third night (not sure why they are not in place all year round. This is a hotel in the middle of the country side so some insect interference is perfectly understandable however this is beyond tolerable. Coffee smoke isn’t enough - other hotels manage this type of problem - why they don’t here is beyond my understanding.
I really want to love this place - I’ve been here 3 times before this but these problems have existed on every visit. I think this is probably my last go.
My advice - 3 nights is enough. And go to Le France in Tourettes for dinner...
Read moreAs a passionate golfer who has played at numerous courses around the world, I consider Terre Blanche Golf Club to be one of the finest. The fairways are exceptionally well-maintained, and while the course may appear straightforward at first, its overall length makes it challenging to score easily. Every staff member at the golf club was friendly and dedicated to their roles, and in particular, the short-haired woman at the pro shop (whose name I unfortunately cannot recall) was truly outstanding—one of the very best. The food at the clubhouse restaurant was also excellent. We originally planned to visit just once during our trip to the South of France, but we were so impressed by the golf course that we changed our itinerary to return for a second round. It is a place we definitely...
