The expierience of a real lavander field is quite astonishing. There are two other things you don't see in the pictures - the aroma and the buzzing sound comming from the bees all around. Ok, actually three things - you also don't see the other people in the photos that also are trying to get photos without other people in them. :) But this is a good place to start the lavender field search - although a bit touristy, this is a safe bet as the growers also have a shop near the field. Therefore they always will have (as long as possible) at least a small lavender field to atract potential customers. Having said that, just have a drive around that region, and you'll find also other options with less...
Read morerecommend!!! the best place i have ever visited, even better than polar lights. was afraid that lavender will not be ready yet (june) but it was. fields around are wide, well organized, clean, with healthy big plants, good place for taking photos but i didnt like shop, too small, extra overcrowded, almost no food with lavender, just cosmetic, another shop 100meters from it (competitors i guess) is much bigger, with air conditioning and has food with lavender, honney etc, and paper bags instead of plastic. was sad that seeds are not sold, to take alive plants with ground even in hand luggage is not pleasant...
