The Le Mans 24h event and race circuit is an iconic racing extravaganza that captures the hearts of motorsport enthusiasts worldwide. With its rich history and thrilling racing action, it has become a mecca for fans and drivers alike. Despite the overwhelming popularity of the event, there are some drawbacks that detract from the overall experience.

First and foremost, the Le Mans 24h event can suffer from overcrowding, particularly in certain areas on the Saturday morning before the start of the race. Thousands of passionate fans flock to the circuit to witness the adrenaline-fueled action up close. This leads to congestion at popular spots such as the pit area and strategic corners, where fans gather in hope of catching a glimpse of their favorite teams and drivers.

The overcrowding can be a challenge for both the spectators and the organizers. It makes it difficult for fans to move around freely and find suitable vantage points to witness the race. This can be especially frustrating if you're trying to secure a spot close to the track, as the significant number of people can often obstruct the view. It also becomes challenging to navigate through the crowds, resulting in longer waiting times and increasing the likelihood of missing important moments of the race.

Despite the issue of overcrowding, the Le Mans 24h event and race circuit offer an unparalleled experience for motorsport enthusiasts. The circuit itself is a marvel, known for its mix of high-speed stretches and challenging corners. It tests the skills and endurance of the drivers, pushing both man and machine to their absolute limits. The event's history, which dates back to 1923, adds an extra layer of significance, as it represents the pinnacle of endurance racing.

Furthermore, the Le Mans 24h event showcases a diverse range of race cars and teams from different categories, including legendary prototypes and talented GT drivers. This variety ensures that there is always something for everyone, catering to the preferences of any motorsport fan. The atmosphere at Le Mans is electric and infectious, with spectators from all walks of life coming together to celebrate their shared passion.

In conclusion, the Le Mans 24h event and race circuit offer a thrilling experience for motorsport enthusiasts. Although overcrowding can be problematic in certain areas on the Saturday morning before the race, the overall ambiance and historical significance compensate for this inconvenience. The Le Mans 24h event remains a must-visit destination for fans of high-speed action and...

On the ferry across the channel, someone I was traveling on a coach with said to me "You'll never forget your 1st visit to the 24 hours of Le Mans". This is most definitely true. There was so much to see and do, and words can't describe the atmosphere. Le Mans is like a festival that happens to have a motor race going on at the same time. There is music, food, a fun fair, go karting, exhibition stands and of course plenty of on track action. If you are going for the 1st time I would recommend: • Buying one of the radios on sale to keep up with the action (with options of both English and French language commentary). • Getting a seat in a covered grandstand. Although I did spend a lot of time exploring around the main spectator area on foot. It was great to have a place to go back to especially if it rains. • Go with an experienced travel company. I went with Select Motor Racing, who have been going to Le Mans and other race events for years, and were great at offer advice on where to go and what to do, they also offer a BBQ and coach excursions to parts of the circuit less accessable by foot. • Get a circuit guide and a list of the cars participating, these can be downloaded be for you leave home • Go on the Ferris wheel at night or even better sunset or sunrise (less busy lots of people are still sleeping). There is nothing like watching cars flicking through the Ford chicane or sweeping into the pits with headlines blasing, from above. • Invest in a large battery charger pack for your phone. Trust me on this get one of the biggest ones...

Petrol head nirvana top of the list!

In my opinion, the greatest car race in the world, ever! Nothing comes close to the 24 hr of Le Mans, I've been to Dubai, Nurburgring, Zolder, Spa and Silverstone 24 hour races and the are all good in their own way, but they ain't Le Mans!!!

Cheapest campsite is Arnage followed by Mulsanne, cheapest ticket is the Arnage and Mulsanne ticket which gives access only two these two spectator areas, don't get me wrong if you are on a budget or have done the pit walk and grandstands then it's enough. If not buy the general ticket which gives you full access.

The parade through the centre of Le Mans is good but it's seriously busy, three people deep in most places, getting to it is also not easy with a car.

The museum is cool and worth going to.

Find out what live bands are on usually on the midweek and Saturday night, I've seen UB40 and other fairly big bands play.

Visit Arnage village on the Friday night, all the bars will be full. It used to be a mecca for cars to drive up and down the main drag doing crazy things but the Gendarmes are hot on it now.

About 100 people drive and gather at the Indianapolis into Arnage section on the Sunday after the race when it turns back into a public road.

Go to the public swimming pool it's cool has slides and a wave machine plus is a good way to get a shower.

Don't speed on the way home on the Sunday night after the race, the French police are hot on it and will fine you massively and can confiscate your car, all of which costs a...

Auta kilku klas jadące obok siebie 24 h . . Spać warto wokoło w pensjonatach i prywatnych kwaterach . Warto zobaczyć tylu ludzi o przyjaznym nastawieniu. Warto też poczytać dlaczego to takie wyjątkowe święto.

Lemans classic was a really good event, stayed in Bejour campsite and it was a little walk but the bust made it easy. Good racing all weekend and a very well run event so much to see. Food was available regularly and drinks too, we did struggle to find water in the campsite but once found was easy to get, car access was easy but could que if you was in rear of campsite. Good event all tickets done by phone app
