Clearly ancient Cistercian foundation, in a remote wooded valley, cleared for the simple, classically Cistercian Conventual buildings.

Not being a French speaker, I THINK the sisters offer retreats and days of recollection.

The sister who gave us directions was warm and friendly without wasting words.

Liturgically: for me, nigh-perfect post-Conciliar (Vat.2) Liturgy of the Hours and Novus Ordo Mass, offered with beautifully sung Chant by the conventual choir.

(It did remind me how unfair it is to judge the Vat.2 Mass on guitar and clown excesses.)

Abbey buried in the woods still run by a community of nuns. The Church is roman, there s not much more left to see but the atmosphere is...

L’Abbaye Sainte MARIE de Rieunette, avec de très gentilles sœurs.💕💕💕 Un lieu très beau, très apaisant, très tranquille. 🙏🙏🙏 Chacun fois que je vais à l’Abbaye, je n’oublie pas les bons moments passaient avec mes sœurs et leur accueil. Dés que je peux, je vais faire une retraite , où passer une journée. Il y a de très bons produits dans leur boutique. Je vous le conseille...
