In June I visited the Chocolaterie Beussent Lachelle chocolate shop and factory, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in a charming setting, the shop exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for any chocolate lover. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the rich aroma of chocolate, which set the tone for the rest of the visit.

The factory tour was both informative and engaging. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, providing detailed explanations of the chocolate-making process, from the sourcing of cocoa beans to the final packaging of the chocolates. It was fascinating to see the craftsmanship involved in creating their high-quality chocolates, and I appreciated the opportunity to observe the artisans at work. The tour was well-organized, allowing plenty of time to ask questions and learn about the intricate processes involved in chocolate production.

A magical place to visit for a chocolate lover and so informative. The tour explained the journey of the coco bean and the techniques used to produce amazing chocolates. Their skill shows why this is an art as they have crafted beautiful pieces. As my French isn’t good enough I was grateful for the English speaking guide and we all had a lot of fun. The small shop has a lot of choice but be prepared to pay a fair price for proper chocolate.

Chocolaterie de Beussent were very accommodating & gave an excellent tour of their workplace, detailing the history & sustainability of cocao, the production of & their passion for creative chocolate confections & even a few samples for good measure.
