In June I visited the Chocolaterie Beussent Lachelle chocolate shop and factory, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in a charming setting, the shop exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for any chocolate lover. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the rich aroma of chocolate, which set the tone for the rest of the visit.
The factory tour was both informative and engaging. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, providing detailed explanations of the chocolate-making process, from the sourcing of cocoa beans to the final packaging of the chocolates. It was fascinating to see the craftsmanship involved in creating their high-quality chocolates, and I appreciated the opportunity to observe the artisans at work. The tour was well-organized, allowing plenty of time to ask questions and learn about the intricate processes involved in chocolate production.
After the tour, we were treated to a tasting session that showcased the wide variety of chocolates made at the factory. Each piece was exquisite, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The chocolates ranged from classic dark and milk varieties to more innovative flavors, all of which were exceptionally well-made. It was clear that a lot of care and attention to detail went into each product.
The shop itself was beautifully presented, with an impressive selection of chocolates available for purchase. The staff were friendly and helpful, making recommendations and assisting with selections. I left with a bag full of delicious treats, feeling thoroughly satisfied with the experience.
The combination of an informative tour, a delightful tasting experience, and excellent customer service made it a highlight of my trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a passion...

Their skill shows why this is an art as they have crafted beautiful pieces. As my French isn’t good enough I was grateful for the English speaking guide and we all had a lot of fun. The small shop has a lot of choice but be prepared to pay a fair price for proper chocolate.
My top tip is to ring first to check the availability and book a tour (especially if you’re after the...
