This is the best hike I have ever done and I know why itâs called magic mountain đ„ passion fruit, star fruit đ.. We started the hike at 11:20 am and finished it at 1:03 pm. We took the steep trail but we went slowwww enjoying everything this trail offered. Iâd say this trail is between 60 to 70% shaded and the parts that arenât fully shaded you will still be able find shade under one of the fruit trees for a break đ ALSO: Google location is not correct on here. If youâre interested in coming here just Google maps: fare Tutava smoothie and follow those Google directions. You will see the small sign indicating magic mountain, just park your car and pay the lady. She will direct you to the path. I went in February and I am a mosquito magnet and there were ZERO on this trail. If youâre out of shape donât worry just go slow, bring a water bottle and enjoy the trail at your pace. I went the steep trail so I can only speak for this trail.. Itâs all paved/cemented and the hardest part is going up! If I didnât take many many breaks yea itâs probably 30 minutes up and 30 min down. Itâs not a loop trail so coming down is a breeze. The only negative about this trail is when you reach the top there is zero shade or a bench. If recommend you bring a hat or umbrella if you really want to enjoy the top or come during non peak heat periods. We sort of went the worst time đ€Ł so when we got to the top we probably enjoyed it for 5-10 minutes as the heat was unbearable for us. But 10/10 get your running shoes out of your luggage bag and do this trail even if you have to go slow. It was good cardio...

After reading all of the reviews the biggest help was THE ADDRESS. When you type it into Google maps it takes you to a dead end. I remember seeing one review talking about the address. Thank goodness I did lol. MAKE SURE you type in Fare Tutava Smoothie. This is the gateway to the hike. You will have to pay 200 Francs (or US $2) per person to be allowed to go up the hike. There are two paths you can take. A longer and less inclined path, OR a shorter with a big incline. We decided to take the shorter, steep hike. The path up is less than a mile, it was about .85 miles up) and took us 30 minutes about. With a few stops along the way to catch our breath. The view is spectacular. All and all the whole trip was a little over an hour. Just because we tried taking in the views. I did see tour buses go up and ATVs, even with that you will have to do a very small hike that takes about 5 minutes if that.
Husband and I backpacked the trip so we always had our backpacks with us. We paid the shop lady a little extra to safely hold our bags while we made the hike. Once you come down she will offer you a refreshing drink. Totally worth it after the hike and love supporting the local people. Great small hike and totally...
Read moreGood hike for active families. 7/6 year olds were able to climb the mile hike in about 45 mins, as itâs pretty straight up. Mornings were the best view before the storms rolled in and it got too hot. Couple of stone benches on the way up made good breaks. Keep an eye and ear out for jeeps driving up and down, there are some tight corners and they always slowed down significantly when they saw us, but definitely was something to be wary of with kids. I think it was $2 parking and $1 per person entry. Only time I used USD. Grab a magic smoothie afterwards...
