Au mois d'Octobre 2021, j'ai parcouru le Gave d'Ossau depuis sa confluence avec le Gave d'Aspe à Oloron-Ste-Marie jusqu'à Gabas dans la Vallée d'Ossau...Un parcours pédestre merveilleux en le longeant du mieux que j'ai pu, avec parfois des sentiers inexistants.

Un gave c'est entre une rivière et un ruisseau (autrefois on disait un rû !) qui descend des montagnes environnantes et serpentes au gré d'une pente plus ou moins forte...

On y pêche (la truite entre autres) sur autorisation (autrefois l'État n'ennuyait pas les français, ici les béarnais ! par toutes sortes de réglements tâtillons)...

On y trouve encore - paraît-il ! - même des écrevisses !

Cette année - sécheresse aidant - il se faisait un peu oublier !

3 * et pas plus parce qu'hélas il n'est plus pur comme autrefois, et nécessiterait un entretien plus vigoureux et soigné...

Ballade d'Oloron jusqu'au Pont Du Diable en longeant le Have d'Ossau. Dommage de ne pouvoir se rendre à l'église de Soeix! Mais...
