Enjoyable but lacks excitement
As a fan of horse racing, I was excited to visit the Hippodrome de Vincennes during my stay in Paris. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience, but I must admit, it lacked the excitement I was hoping for.
The ambiance of the Hippodrome de Vincennes was pleasant, with plenty of seating areas and refreshments available. However, the service was a bit slow, and I found the staff to be somewhat disinterested in assisting customers.
The quality of the races was decent, but I found that they lacked the thrill and excitement that I have experienced at other racetracks. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, but I did notice that some of the equipment appeared to be outdated.
One unique aspect of the Hippodrome de Vincennes is its location on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes, which provides a lovely backdrop for the races. However, I felt that the owners could do more to enhance the overall experience, perhaps by adding more activities or entertainment options for visitors.
For each star lacking, I deducted one point due to the slow service and lack of excitement. To improve, I suggest that the owners invest in modernizing their equipment and increasing the variety of entertainment options available. Additionally, they could provide better training for their staff to improve customer service.
Overall, I would recommend a visit to the Hippodrome de Vincennes for those interested in horse racing. While it may not be the most exciting racetrack, it still offers a pleasant experience with a beautiful backdrop. If the owners take steps to improve their facility, I would be more inclined to return for...

Read moreWe own harness horses in the USA so we were thrilled to see how the French race. We were impressed with the beautiful glass to track table side restaurants. We were seated in the Sulky Restaurant recently renamed something else, but they still called it the Sulky. We only spoke English and took a taxi from downtown Paris ( about 25 Euros for taxi each way). We needed not speak any French. We were able to order steak and fries and Coke Lites and Pelligrino. We were able to bet and win a few. The racing was fabulous and the crowd unbelievable! On our way out we stopped at the boutique and bought a hoodie and two LeTrot hats. When we were ready to leave it was a little complicated getting someone to understand that we wanted to call for a taxi, but one of the security guards let us go to the jockeys club and a lady there ordered us a cab which only took ten minutes to arrive. It was a...
