An exceptional airport..:.have been living in Pau for just over 18 months and have travelled in and out of Pau a lot during this time. The check in is always efficient and professional, the security staff polite and friendly, the waiting area comfortable. Everything is accessible and easy, from beginning to end. During my last trip my luggage did not arrive with me on the same flight. The airport employee located me, to tell me that they were aware my luggage had not arrived, facilitated the process and communicated with calls and e-mails informing me of the status. I was traveling from Pau to Paris and was treated like an animal by the security team. My items were being taken from my bag and thrown into the trash can without explanation or an opportunity to check my luggage. I asked multiple times for them to stop and please have someone explain to me in English what was going on as I had traveled on the journey here with the same items in my case. I was reduced to tears when they pushed my luggage and me aside and closed the curtain on my telling me it’s finished. Landed here for the second time and it's a nice small airport in Pau. About 45 minutes from Lourdes. Very good service here. Information desk gave us directions to get to Lourdes. There is a bus from the airport to the main SNCF station in Pau. Only €1 per person on the bus there. Very good service from the airport and the buses.
